A Visit From An Old Friend

Last night our friend Justin stopped by for a visit. We had not seen him for over a year so this was his first time to meet Christian. It was so good to get to hang out with Justin. We used to all get together a lot, but he lives out of town now so it makes it hard to see everybody like we used to. Justin and Christian

Watching The Train Go Round And Round

Yesterday after Mass Christian and I went over to my parents house to hang out while Jason went hunting. My Dad has a huge train collection. Him and my little brother were working on some things with one of the trains yesterday so I took Christian downstairs so he could see the trains go round and round the tracks.

Having Dinner With My Parents & Grandpa Shetler

Last night Jason grilled pork tenderloins and bacon wrapped asparagus on The Big Green Egg for supper. We also had roasted red potatoes, caesar salad, and a spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We invited my parents and my Grandpa Shetler over to eat with us. It was so nice to be able to sit and visit with them. It seems like every time we get together there is always so much going on that it's hard to just sit and talk to each other. I wish everyone wasn't so busy all the time so we could do stuff like this more often.Hanging out on the couch with my parents.

He kept bringing her balls to throw and he would chase after them and bring them back to her.

Playing Outside In December

Here are the pictures of Christian playing outside yesterday. He had so much fun. I can't wait to leave for the cruise on Friday. He is going to love getting to play outside everyday. Hopefully we will have good weather.

Christian was so excited when he found this big stick. Jason tried to take it away from him when we were heading back and he started crying.

He kept trying to dance with it.

We eventually had to just carry him back with the stick and all. I think he would have stayed out there all night if we would have let him. He was having so much fun.

I told him he had to leave his stick outside because it was an outside toy. He was not happy about that. He kept crying wanting his stick back. Eventually he found another toy inside and forgot about the stick.

Like A Warm Spring Day

This is a video of Christian enjoying the warm weather we had yesterday. I can't believe it was a high 74 degrees yesterday. Christian loved running around playing he did not want to come inside. I'll post some pictures later.

Eating Cinnamon Rolls For Breakfast

This morning Jason made Cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Christian loved them! He's starting to really enjoy sweets. I try not to give him to many though.

Grilling Steaks And Hanging Out

Last night we had Travis, Denver, Alisann, Justin, and James over for supper and to play games. Jason grilled steaks and shrimp. We also had mushrooms, broccoli, Caesar salad, cheesy potatoes, & baked beans. The cheesy potatoes and baked beans were compliments of Aunt Susan that she sent home with Denver and Travis. Everything was delicious! I ate way too much of everything.Christian taking a drink of juice while he scarfs down his food.

I had to take this picture of poor Justin because all night everybody kept teasing him about his blue gingham shirt that he was wearing. Alisann hates the shirt. He eventually changed and wore one of Jason's T-shirts so he wouldn't have to hear about it the rest of the night. After dinner we all decided to make margaritas and play Scategories. This was a blast. Travis and Denver had never played before and they really enjoyed it. Travis said he can't wait to play again.

This is Kerri, one of my best friends from High School. I was so excited when she called and told me she was in town and was going to stop by. I hadn't seen her in almost a year and a half. She lives in California now and doesn't make it home very often.

Justin and James got tired waiting for us to finish our game of Scategories and fell sound asleep on the couch.

The Day After Christmas

We all slept in until almost ten o'clock today. This is unheard of anymore for any of us. I think we all were exhausted from the last two days of running around everywhere.Once we all were up we went downstairs to play with all of Christian's new toys. Here he is with his new sunglasses.

Christmas With Grandpa Shetler

After we left Kenny and LeeAnn's we wanted to make a quick stop by Aunt Susan and Uncle Duane's house so they could see Christian on Christmas, but Christian was just too tired. He fell asleep almost as soon as we put him in the car and we still had to go to my Grandpa Shetler's for dinner. We hated not to be able to stop by. We knew Christian was wiped out. Hopefully we can get together with them soon.Christian sleeping on the way to Great Grandpa Shetler's House.
We had beef tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, asparagus, corn, salad, and rolls for dinner. Everything was so good.
