Today we did a little watercolor painting! Lucas and Jax really loved it! I think this was LUcas' first time water color painting!

Going Out To The Garden

ONe of my favorite things Christian and I have done this summer is every morning when we wake up we go out to our garden to see how much it has grown and to pick anything that is ripe. Christian and I both get so excited about this every morning! He always tells me to close my eyes and that he has a surprise for me when ever he finds a big tomato or pepper or zucchini. It is too cute!

Pickerill Cousin Night Out

Last night was Pickerill Cousin Night Out night! All the cousins on the Pickerill side (except for Mandy and Steven) got babysitters and had a night out on the town. We started off at Travis' house and then went to eat at Max and Erma's. Form there we went to Peephole and then to Backstage and Main gate. All week long everybody talked about how they were going to stay out all night long and got babysitters for the whole night, so Jason and I did the same and believe me it was no easy task for us to find a babysitter for the night. Had we known that Travis was going to be ready to crash by midnight we would have rethought things a little. We took a cab back to Travis', so he could go to bed and Josh and Brittany decided to head home, so they could sleep in their own bed. Jason and i and Jamie and Ben were not ready to call it a night! We never have a babysitter for the whole night and we were not going to waste it! We went to the Timeout bar down the street from our house and we had a great time! Overall the night was a lot of fun, but we have learned our lesson about getting a babysitter for the whole night from now on with this crew!

Vandeburgh County 4-H Fair

Tonight we went to the Vandeburgh County 4H Fair. We ran into Allie and Adam and their sweet girl Emme and then we met up with Martha and Tyler and Alisann and Justin and the boys. The boys all had fun riding rides together and looking at the animals! Lucas even got to ride some rides with them! We also watched the tractor pulls for a little bit. I can not ever remember the weather at the fair being as cool as it was. It felt cooler tonight than the fall festival usually is!
