Jaxson's First Time Eating Baby Food

Tonight we fed Jax his first baby food. We started him off with peas. I heard that it was best to start off with a green vegetable first. Apparently if you start off with a fruit or sweeter vegetable it is hard for them to eat the green vegetables because they aren't as sweet. We could not believe how good he did his first time eating baby food. When I first put it in his mouth he moved it around a little and made kind of a funny face and then he was ready for more. He never once fussed or cried or anything. The first time we fed Christian baby food he cried and made the most awful face. We barely got one bite down with him. Jax ate the entire jar of baby food on his first feeding. We could not believe it! After he finished eating Jason and Christian gave him a bath. He was so messy!

Grilling Out With Family

Tonight we grilled out with Alisann, Justin, James, Patrick, Martha, Tyler, Mom, Dad, Mary and The Babe. I wanted to have Alisann and Justin over with The Boys to give Patrick his birthday present and we talked Jason's steaks up to Tyler, so Jason had to back up all the praise by grilling for him and Martha again. Jason grilled NY strips, portabella mushrooms, and bell peppers. I made caesar salad and pasta salad. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and grilling. I love to do this more than anything and I am so glad that it is finally nice enough out to do this! We got Patrick a plate with his Name and Birthdate on it for him to use on all of his birthdays. I love the plate and I can't wait to order ones for Jax and Christian! We sat outside and talked with everyone for ever. It was so fun! Our next grill out is going to have to be Jason's chicken wings. I am hoping to do this in a few weeks!

Memorial Day @ Mom And Dad's House

This morning I got up and went to Group Power at Tri-State with Alisann and Martha. After the weight lifting class Alisann and I sat in the steam room and sauna. It was so relaxing and felt so good on our muscles. After Tri-State I headed to Sam's to get food for grilling out tonight. When I got home we loaded up the car and headed to Mom and Dad's to spend the day swimming. The water was still too cold for Jax, but he had fun swinging in the shade! Christian and James had a blast swimming and playing together. It was so hot out that the water felt really good too me, so I loved finally being able to relax on a raft and talk with everyone. I am so glad that summer days are here! I love summer time!

Mary & 'The Babe's' Graduation Party

This afternoon we had two stops to make for Graduation parties. Our first stop was for my client Sally's son Drew. I have done Sally and her sister's hair for almost 9 years now. Sally was also my night time nurse when I had Jax. We have become close over the years and I also cut her son Drew's hair. It was great to stop by his party for just a little bit so everyone could see the boys and so we could congratulate Drew. We couldn't stay long because Mary and 'The Babe's' Party was at the same time. I was glad that we were able to make an appearance though. Mom and Dad had a pig roast for Mary and The Babe's graduation party. This time Dad had it catered rather than trying to cook it himself. The last couple of years it has been a lot of work and it is hard for it to all turn out right. The pig was awesome! I could have sat there and ate it all day long. Christian was so excited to finally get to swim at mom and dad's he has been asking for months when they were going to open the pool. The water was freezing, but he didn't let that stop him. He was shaking so bad he could barely talk and his lips turned purple. Anytime anyone asked him if he was cold he said, 'No it's warm'! I think he was in denial. He loved getting to swim and play with Uncle Johnny. John has been super busy at work and hasn't been able to come in for awhile. The boys love to play with Uncle Johnny. Christian did pretty good his first time swimming this year although he was a little scared at first. He is back to wearing his water wings for now nad he isn't quite as daring as he was last summer on jumping off the side. This was his first day back though, I am sure he will be much more adventurous in a couple of days and once the water warms up some. Christian was so good all day long that we got ice cream on the way home from mom and dad's. Then we came home and popped popcorn and watched a little bit of a movie with Christian while Jax napped. Then it was time to put Christian to bed and now Jason and I are spending the rest of the evening watching TV and relaxing!
