Last night we went over Jamie's for dinner to celebrate LeeAnn's 54th birthday! Jamie totally out did herself making lasagna, caesar salad and garlic bread for everyone. It was all delicious! It was really nice getting together with everyone and hanging out talking. Jamie and I shared a bottle of wine and it was delicious. It has been way too long since we have gotten to drink wine together and I think we both really missed it! Jason and I were pretty excited about LeeAnn's present this year. I was wanting to already have pictures put in the frame for her, but I ran out of time before Jax's newborn pics were finished. I have pictures ordered for her now though. I am totally getting obsessed with the collage picture frames with quotes. I am trying not to go to overboard in my house by buying every frame with a quote, but I love them all! I really like the frame we picked out for LeeAnn's present and I think she was excited about it also. By the time we got home it was Christian's bedtime. He loved getting to hold Jax all by himself before he went to sleep he is such a good big brother!

Spring Fever
I think we all have spring fever now in the Pickerill house! I was kind of liking the cold weather because I didn't feel guilty about laying around and not doing much. After Having this nice day today I am definitely ready for some nice spring days. It felt so good to be out doing things and to see the sun shining bright. I haven't seen Christian in this good of a mood in so long! We all took advantage of the nice weather today. I went to work this morning to do a couple of clients and then went shopping at some local boutique stores. I love PenPals boutique they have the cutest things there. I of course couldn't help myself and had to get a few more pieces to add to my Cotton Colors pottery. After running around for a little bit I headed home. When I got home Jason had ribs on the grill and had cleaned the whole house. This meant I got to play outside with Christian while Jax napped. Christian and I both were excited to have this time together. It is so hard for just the two of us to be able to play like we used to. We swung on the swings, went down the slide, hung out in our club house, I pushed him around the yard in his dump truck, we colored with sidewalk chalk, played some baseball, and picked up sticks to put in his wheel barrel. After all this playing it was tim for his nap. It was cute because the whole time we were playing together he kept telling me how much fun he was having and I would tell him how much I missed playing with him outside and he would say how much he missed it too. I am excited for it to get warm enough to be able to take Jax outside and be able to play with both of them. Although I will say I loved every second of Christian and I by ourselves playing and I know he did to. We both needed that. During Christian's nap Jax had some visitors. A guy Jason works with and his family stopped by to see Jax, so it was nice to have a short little visit with them. After they left Jason and I watched one of our favorite shows, Spartacus. Then by the time Christian was up from his nap Alisann, Justin, James, and Patrick all came over for dinner and to hang out. It has been forever since we have been able to have them over for dinner. It was great to hang out with them and let the kids play. Alisann and I had fun spying on Christian and James while they were playing. It was funny listening to the two of them talk to each other. They kept telling each other that they loved each other and it was so sweet. I know this nice day was just a teaser, but it has gotten me a little motivated to get some things done inside so that when it is nice out I won't be stuck inside trying to get things done!

Our First Week Home
We had a busy first week home. On Sunday morning I got up and gave Jax his first bath at home with the help of Christian. Then Jax and I headed downtown to Alisann's studio so she could do Jax's newborn pictures. We got a little sneak peak of a couple of the pictures a couple of days ago. I can't wait to see the rest of them. The pictures took most of the day to do and we were exhausted afterwards. Sunday Afternoon my Cousin Amie and her husband stopped by to visit and see Jax. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing and watching football. On Monday Jason went back to work and I survived a day at home with my boys. We mostly just laid around and cuddled. Christian had fun playing with his trains and watching cartoons and we all took naps. Monday night we had more visitors from Jamie, Ben, Kyle and Hannah. Christian was super excited to get to play with his cousins. On Tuesday night we had our first outing as a family of four. We made a quick run to Target and Babies R Us. I was starting to go stir crazy and thought it would be good to get out and run errands the 4 of us. Things went smoother than I expected them to go which was good. On Wednesday my Mom brought us dinner and watched the boys while I took a relaxing shower and got somethings done around the house. This was really nice! It's amazing how good it feels to be able to take a shower and not be interrupted or feel totally rushed, something I used to take for granted before I had kids. Today was my last day home before going back to work tomorrow. It has been snowing all day! I took it easy today and relaxed and spent as much time with my boys as possible. Jax has been sleeping really good at night with the exception of a couple of nights. That is a huge relief and he eats really good also! I am enjoying this time so much with my family. I love every minute of it!
