The Biggest Loser: Shetler Family Edition
Last night when we were over at mom and dad's us girls all got to talking about how we all wanted to lose weight before Martha's and wedding and really this summer. Alisann and Martha then came up with the idea to have teams and make it a competition since we are all so competitive. All the details aren't worked out yet, but the teams are Mom, Martha, Jason and I on a team against Alisann, Becky, Mary, and Dad. We all weighed in last night for the first time and we will weigh in every 2 weeks at mom and dad's. We are all putting $20 in and whichever team does the best wins the pot. I am not sure how they are going to do points because some people are more toning and losing inches rather than weight and some people have a lot more to loose than others. Either way this is perfect motivation for us all to get in shape. We all always go over to mom and dad's almost every Sunday for dinner. I have a feeling our big pig out sessions are coming to an end. It will be healthy dinners from now on. I will try and post update on Jason and I and how the teams are doing.

Getting Things Ready
We have spent most of our week and weekend cleaning out our house, getting things organized and setting up all the baby stuff. We made a lot of progress and I am hoping that by the end of this week we will have everything completely ready to go. Monday we bought our new van. We got a Toyota Sienna Limited. I have to say that it does drive really nice and it is convenient. I am still having a hard time with the idea of it being a van. I'm sure over time it will not bother me, but I am not there yet. At least we will have plenty of room for baby Lucas. Jason finished cleaning out the laundry room and painted the floor in there. We both worked on the storage room and everything is cleaned out and reorganized in there and the floor painted. I do need to go through some old boxes and make sure I can throw them away and I also need to put some pictures in albums. I got out the baby swings, pack n' play, car seat, activity mat, bassinet, and boppy seat and washed everything and set everything up, so We would have a place to put Lucas when we aren't snuggling and cuddling with him. I do have some odd and end things that I want to finish up before Lucas gets here. For on I need to get all the blogs caught up again. I am not too far behind, but I just need to sit down and do it. I also want to deep clean my whole house. I still have some baby clothes to wash and put away and I need to get a few things for the hospital, but nothing that is a must. I really need to get my pictures organized and batteries charged in my cameras. I am hoping to have all these things finished this week. I just can't believe that Lucas will be here in about 3 weeks! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! We ended our weekend with dinner at my parents and then came home to watch the Oscars and do some laundry. CHristian has been a little sick this whole week end so I really hope he gets to feeling better by tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be great this week and I really want him to be able to go out and enjoy it!

Eli's Birthday Party
Last night we went over to Becky and John's house to celebrate Eli's 2nd birthday! We had pizza for dinner and we all had a great time hanging out. We got Eli some lincoln logs to play with. He loved opening all of his presents and he got lots of fun toys! It's hard to believe that he is already 2!

Family Homemade Pizza Night
Saturday night we had Mom, Dad, Martha, Tyler, Alisann, Justin, James, and Patrick over for a homemade pizza night. Our original plan was for everyone to make there own pizzas and then we would see whose we liked the best. Well plans changed and Jason and I decided to just get all the stuff to make 2 different pizzas. We made a barbeque chicken pizza and a southwest chicken pizza. Jason made the dough from scratch and we decided to make cinnamon rolls with the left over dough. Everything turned out so good and we all had such great time hanging out together! I love having these get togethers. I am really looking forward to warmer weather and grilling out!

Sold The Boat and Buying A Van
Well we sold the boat and agreed to buy a Van yesterday! I have always sworn that I would never buy a van, but we have come down to no choice for as many kids as we want to have. As upsetting that it is that we have to get rid of my 4 Runner and buy a van. We are so excited to have our boat sold. That is just one less thing for us to think and worry about. I have to say it is kind of sad to see it go, but we had no time last summer to go out and we will have even less time the next couple of summers. Plus we have really out grown our boat. We really need the next size or two up and maybe in a few years we will get back into it again, if that is what the boys want to do. Now it is just nice to know that we don't have that extra thing to take care of and worry about! We are getting the new Van on Monday. It is funny how life changes over the years!

Happy Valentine's Day
We had a fun and busy Valentine's Day today! Christian woke up bright and early and couldn't wait to give Daddy his Valentine's present that he made him. While Jason got ready for work he ate his favorite waffles and whipped cream for breakfast. Then before Daddy left for work he gave him the present. It was a picture frame that he painted all by himself with a picture of Him and Jax for his his desk at work. Jason loved it and couldn't wait to put it on his desk. After Jason left we got Jax up and got ready and headed to Tristate. The boys played at kids club which they loved and I got to take a long walk with Alisann and then soak our feet in the hot tub. It was great! We then headed over to my parents house to have lunch and celebrate Valentine's day with Mom and Dad. Mom and Dad had a bowl of fresh berries for Jason and I. The boys got coloring books and some candy and Lucas got a box of Cheeze-Its and some candy. Mommy is supposed to eat them so he will get them! We had a great time hanging out and talking and having lunch while the boys all played together. When I got back home the boys took a nap and I relaxed on the couch for a little while and got some house work finished. When Jason got home we gave the boys their Valentine presents from us. We got Christian stuff for t-ball, underwear, socks, and candy. We got Jax an apptivity case for his iPod touch, socks and candy! Then we decided to go look at vehicles and we were going to grab a quick bite to eat at Five Guys Burgers and Fries, but as soon as we pulled in there I got a craving for Tumbleweed so we turned around and headed to Tumbleweed. Jason and I never like to celebrate Valentine's day together on Valentine's and we usually don't go anywhere, but the cravings are getting a little bit out of control. We did give each other our presents though. Jason got me a robe and silk pajamas from Victoria's Secret and I got him a pair of Born boots and some Aqua Notes. He is always saying that he comes up with great ideas in the shower and this is a notepad that is waterproof and sticks on the shower door so you can write down ideas while you are in the shower. We both were very happy with our gifts to each other and it was a great Valentine's day just being together as a family!

The Vaught Gender Reveal Party
Saturday night we went to Archie and Clyde's for the Vaught gender reveal party. This was the first time that I have been to a gender reveal party that wasn't my own and It was so exciting. They have two cute little boys already and they are going to have another sweet baby boy! I loved how they revealed the sex. They had blue balloons in a box and when they opened the box they floated up. It was so fun! I will do the reveal this way next time. Christian had lots of fun getting to hang out with Kyle and Hannah and Jax loved eating all the food! The banner that Jamie, Tine and i worked on looked awesome hanging up and so did the rest of the decorations. It was a great party!

Super Bowl Sunday
Tonight we watched the Super Bowl at home with our two favorite boys! It was nice to put on comfy clothes and just relax on our couch and watch our boys play and run around the basement. New York Giants played New England Patriots and The Giants won! Madonna did the half time show and I thought she did a pretty decent job. I never pay much attention to the game. I like to watch some of the commercials and the performers. Now that the boys are in bed Jason and I are going to catch up on some episodes of Dexter. It has been a fun and busy weekend!

Celebrating Maggie's 6th Birthday
This post is a little late! Maggie had her 6th birthday on January 20th and we celebrated it with her by having a brunch at Becky's house on January 26th. The kids all had fun playing together. We got maggie all kinds of her favorite snacks for her to eat and enjoy! Becky, Alisann, and I are all overwhelmed with the amount of toys that all of our kids have and they always get so many toys for their birthday and Christmas, so we now try to not buy the kids toys that will clutter up the toy rooms. Maggie was thrilled to have her own bag of yummy treats! It was so great getting together with my sisters and the kids. Things got pretty crazy at one point but that is just how our lives are now. I think it is only going to get more crazy as time goes on!

Gavin's 8th Birthday Party
This Afternoon we went over to my friend Jami's parents house to celebrate my Godson Gavin's 8 year old birthday. I can not believe he is 8! I think I say this on every birthday with all my nieces and nephews. I can't help it they all just grow up so fast! We had a great time getting to visit with everyone! We all look forward to this every year! Christian was such a good boy even though he did not take a nap today. He did not want to leave when it time because he was having so much fun playing with Gavin and David! We can't wait to get together with everyone next year!
