We had a busy day today. We started our morning off by going out for breakfast at IHOP. I had a craving for blueberry pancakes! Then we picked up some graduation presents for my cousins. Then we headed to mass. Christian did pretty good during mass. He sat on my lap for a while and prayed and sang. It was really sweet! After mass we headed over to my parents house to swim and lay out in the pool. It was another hot sunny day! After we hung out there for awhile we came home to take showers and get ready for the Graduation party. Four of my cousins graduated this year. Two of them from high school and two of them from eighth grade. we lucked out and my aunts just had one big party for all of them. They had it out at Twin Towers. It was a really nice place to have it! There was lots of shade and a big indoor are that was air conditioned for the food. They had lots of playground stuff for the kids and lots of games set up for the adults. Christian never took a nap yesterday so we weren't able to stay very long. The food was good and we ate way too much! Christian loved swinging in the swings and riding on the teeter totter. Once we got home Christian and Jason played outside for a little while longer and I had to lat down inside because I felt so sick from all the food I ate and the heat outside. Once Christian was in bed Jason and I watched a couple episodes of Dexter. This is a new series we decided to get caught up on. We have heard good things about it. They just finished season four and we just started on season one. This gives us something to watch in the evenings after Christian goes to bed. So far it is okay! I keep dozing off in some of the episodes because I am so tired in the evenings. So far we have had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Grilling Out
Last night we had Alisann, Justin and James over to grill out. Our goal was to fix as many spicy things as possible hoping to put Alisann in labor. Mary, John, and Mom and Dad stopped by to join in on our spicy feast. Jason made a spicy pork tenderloin, four different spicy flavors of chicken wings, and really spicy shrimp skewers. I made stuffed mushrooms with cyan pepper on top. I also made spinach dip to go with wheat thins. Alisann brought over fruit ad dip and we made celery stuffed with cream cheese and then put red pepper on top of them. Alisann ate lots of spicy food and needless to say she didn't go into labor. The food was all so good! We all were drinking lots of water to cool our mouths off. the boys had lots of fun playing with there uncle Johnny. He pushed them on the swings and helped them shoot the bows and hit baseballs. Once it was dark enough I got out some sparklers for them to play with. We only had five so they each got to do two and then Uncle Johnny helped them share the last one. It was such a perfect evening to sit outside and grill out. We listened to Norah Jones and sat and talked forever. It's not very often that we get to have nights this relaxing all together!

Swimming
Yesterday we spent the afternoon swimming at my parents house. It was a hot sunny day! The pool was so refreshing. Christian and James had a blast swimming together. Jason also got our boat all ready for us to take out on the river. We probably won't get a chance to get it out again for a few more weeks. We have so much going on in the next couple of weeks. I am really looking forward to boating this year. Christian is going to have so much fun!

Robert & Marlena's Couples Shower
Tonight we went to my aunt Christie's for a couples shower for my cousin Robert. Robert is marrying Marlena in September. They had a baseball themed shower since Robert and Marlena both are huge baseball fans. Marlena is for the Cubs and Robert is for the Cardinals. Everything was decorated so cute! The food and desserts were all so good also! They had grinders, salad, nachos, popcorn, and fruits and veggies. The dessert table was to die for! They carrot cake, chocolate cake, strawberry cake, Italian creme cake, angel food cake, raspberry bars, chocolate bars, strawberry pie, and lots of different cupcakes! It was a sweet tooth heaven! It was so great getting to see everybody on my Mom's side. It isn't very often that everybody is able to get together all at the same time! We are planning a Folz family vacation down to Florida for next summer. If everybody is able to make it we will have almost 70 people going down. It will be so much fun!

Celebrating Alisann's Birthday
Today Jason, Christian and I went to church and then over to my parents house to relax all day and celebrate Alisann's 26th birthday. Christian loved swimming in the pool and he was so excited to show everybody how good he could swim. Dad grilled chicken and asparagus for us all and it was so good! It was so nice to just lay out in the pool and take it easy. I am so glad we finally had a hot sunny day!
