Looking Back On 2012

Every year I always like looking back on what I wrote for my New Years resolutions from the year before. I was a little nervous looking back this year. I was thinking that I had really failed big time this year on accomplishing my goals. I knew I was a total failure in keeping up with blogging and Photobooks. That is a huge disappointment for me. I even felt like I did a bad job of taking pictures and video taping. Poor Lucas!! I will say though when I looked back on my resolutions I did better than I thought and accomplished quite a lot in this past year!
As a family we had another happy healthy baby boy, we went on a great family vacation to the beach, we bought a new house and put our house up for sale, and we traded in my 4runner for a minivan!
Jason got another promotion this past spring, he killed his first wild pig, and he also started working out and eating healthy and lost over 15 pounds! This was a big goal for him and I am so proud that he reached it!
For me 2012 was not quite as productive. I did reach my goal of losing weight. I actually did better than I had hoped for which is always a good thing. I am at 120 lbs. which is slightly less than I was before I had Christian. I managed to read the fifty shades of grey series and I watched way too many TV series (Desperate Housewives, Parenthood, and Brothers and Sisters, not to mention all my regular TV series that are already on TV). I also managed to not get pregnant again which is a good thing and I managed to survive raising 3 boys under the age of 5. That alone is huge for me!
Christian played his first year of TBall for Mccutchinville and He started his first day of Pre-K at St. Theresa Catholic School. He also just started his first year of basketball a couple of weeks ago. He has learned to spell and write his name and phone number.
Jax has been learning to talk and run all over the place. Dr. Voyles discovered that he had a heart murmur, but luckily he should grow out of it on his own.
Lucas had a double hernia surgery. He learned to crawl and is pulling up on his own now. He had his first trip to the beach and got to go on his first train ride. He also got to go on his first boat ride on the Ohio River!
Overall we did have a great year. I can only hope and pray that next year is just as good to us!

Playing In The Snow At Mom & Dad's

This afternoon we went over to Mom and Dad's for a Christmas lunch and to play outside in the snow with the kids! We all had so much fun sledding down the hill together. This was Jax's first time out in the snow sled riding and he loved it!
