Date Night

Last night Jason and I had a date night. A friend of ours, Michael Boyd, Had a surprise 30th birthday party. We stopped by there for a couple of hours and then we headed to Old chicago for some appetizers and drinks. Of course my drink was just a cherry coke, but it was delicious! It was so nice to be able to sit and talk just the two of us. We had a wonderful evening out together and it was much needed.

Jason Is Finally Home

Jason got back late last night from his trip to Pennsylvania. He had a good time and he worked very hard. It is such a relief to have him back. We missed him so much while he was gone. Jason was so sweet and brought christian and I both surprises back. He got Christian some maple cotton candy and a shirt that glows in the dark. He brought me back pure fresh maple syrup, fresh maple cream and this gourmet pancake mix. I can't wait to try it all. Jason said his favorite part of going out of town is getting to come home and give Christian a surprise. I usually try to get a ton of things done while he is gone on business trips but this time I accomplished nothing. Christian has been way off on his sleep patterns for the past week and a half and that alone has been a nightmare for me. I also have had a new obsession the past couple of weeks. Since I have not been feeling well and have been so tired with this pregnancy I took up watching all the seasons of One Tree Hill. I used to catch random episodes on Soap net when Christian was taking a nap and I would be doing things around the house. I would never know what was going on though because I never watched it from the beginning. My friend Kayce has always watched it, so I would go to work and ask her what was going on. She just kept telling me I had to watch it from the beginning. I must say after the first few episodes of season 1 I was hooked. If you ever liked 90210 or any other high school drama type show you would love this show. I for some reason love all those silly high school drama shows. I just finished season 4 last night and I am going to be starting season 5 sometime this week. Season 8 will be a new season starting in the fall and I can't wait! I think it will take me a while to get through the next three seasons I finished the last 4 in about two weeks. I am feeling so much better now and I am getting motivation to get things done around the house, so that is all taking priority over this One Tree Hill obsession. I have a whole list of things I want to accomplish this week. I am hoping to still be able to get a lot of things finished before summer is out now that I have more energy. Last night the three of us went to the fair and had a great time as a family. It felt like it had been forever since the three of us have been together since Jason was gone for so long. We have a fun filled weekend planned with lots of things going on for this week end that I am looking forward also. I can't wait for Jason to see how well Christian is swimming now! Hopefully I stay motivated this week and get all my things finished on my list.

James' Birthday Party

Yesterday Christian and I went over to James' house to celebrate his three year old birthday. Jason wasn't able to make it because he was still out of town. James always has the best birthday parties ever. This year Alisann rented a huge blow up water slide. This was perfect for the kids since it was so hot out! All the kids had lots of fun going down slide over and over again. It wasn't easy for me to take pictures since I was trying to watch after Christian by myself. I did get a few shots though. We got James a shot gun and a bow and arrow set. I think he really liked them. christian was having a melt down during the present opening so I had to take him else where. Alisann and Justin had Barbeque catered from The Barbeque Barn and it was So good. Everything was perfect and we all had a great time celebrating James' birthday!

A Relaxing Evening On The River

Tonight after Christian woke up from his afternoon nap the three of us headed out for a nice relaxing evening on the river. We packed a cooler with drinks and snacks and had a wonderful time. We mostly just cruised around on the boat. The water was so smooth and peaceful. We need to do this more often that is for sure. Jason is always wanting too and I am usually too tired or don't feel like going in the evening. When we stopped to eat our snacks we took a little swim also. It was a perfect evening spent as a family.

Out To Dinner For Martha's 21st Birthday

Last night Jason and I went out to eat for Martha's 21st birthday. We all me at Ri-Ra's for dinner. We have a tradition in my family of getting the whole extended family together for our 21st birthdays. Of course not everybody was able to be there but we had quite a big crowd with everyone that did come. I think there was a little over 40 of us that were able to go. Jason and I ordered martha her first drink of the night. We got her a chocolate martini. This is one of my favorites! She really liked it! Jason and I both ordered cheeseburgers for dinner and mine was absolutely huge. It reminded me of something off of Man vs. Food. I was only able to eat almost half of it. It was hard to even be able to take a bite it was so big! After dinner everyone went out to the bars. Jason and I headed home, so we could get Christian in bed and I had to work in the morning. Plus I can't drink anyway. Everyone had lots of fun! We decided since I can't drink and neither could Alisann and Becky had to leave early we are going to have a sister night out next spring when Martha gets back from Europe. We figured by then nobody would be pregnant or breast feeding and we can have a girls night out. It will also be close to my 30th birthday then so we might have to celebrate two birthdays that night.
