Emma's 11th Birthday Party

Tonight we went to Becky and John's to celebrate Emma's 11th birthday! Emma is such a sweet and wonderful girl and she is growing up right before our eyes. It was a wonderful party as always. Becky had a baked potato bar with all the toppings. Everything was so delicious! We got Emma an Under Armor shirt for her birthday. She was pretty excited about it! She is so athletic, so I figured that she could always use more shirts to wear to all her practices!

One Of The Last Swims At Grandma & Grandpa

This afternoon I took the boys over to my parents to swim since it was such a beautiful day out. I know that after Labor Day we rarely get in the pool because the temperatures drop so much in the evenings and the water is too cold to get in. I thought it would still be warm enough today, but I was surprised at how cold the water was. It didn't bother Christian one bit, but Jax, Lucas, and I just sat on the side and splashed our feet in the water. It was still a nice afternoon, but I think this will definitely be one of the last times we get to swim this year.

Martha's Bachelorette Weekend

This weekend was Martha's Bachelorette weekend! I have to say we all had one hack of a time! We all met at Mom's house and took two cars driving up. Hannah kept teasing me about my 'awesome' van. She kept saying how i was the last one she would ever expect to get a van and couldn't believe I caved.  Once we all got in the van and started out on the road. I told everyone to help themselves to mimosas in the cooler and then turned on Bridesmaids to watch for the way up. Instantly Hannah was now loving my van. She started calling it our van! We were all cracking up! The way up was lots of fun talking and planning little details of the wedding and laughing over the movie Bridesmaids.

Once we got there we checked all of our luggage at the front desk. Then we walked around a few of the little shops. Then it Was time for the Spa! This was such a blast! once we were all checked at the Spa, we got our robes on and relaxed in the lounge room talking and drinking citrus water. Then One by one we all began be being called back for our appointments. It was funny watching everyone walk out to the lounge after their appointments. We were all so relaxed that we looked like we were on drugs or something. We all kept cracking up at Mary, because she normally doesn't get into the spa stuff. She wanted to be bacck there with all of us so she decided to just get a foot massage. The whole point of her even doing the foot massage was just so she could hang out with everyone. Well, they called her back for her appointment early so she never even got to sit and relax in the lounge room for her appointment. Her appointment was finished before anyone else's also so when she got done we were all in the back at our appointments. Once we all got out of our appointments we decided to see if they had anymore openings for anything else, because we were enjoying ourselves so much! Mary especially wanted to do more. They didn't have anymore openings for anything else that we wanted to do, but they did have an opening for Mary to do a neck, shoulder and back massage. She took that appointment thinking she would still have time to sit and relax with all of us. We decided to order salads and wine to enjoy while we hung out. While we waited for our food and before Mary's appointment we decided to relax in the sauna. Literally as soon as we walked in the sauna and had not even sat down, the lady came to take mary back to her appointment. We felt so bad for her that she kept missing everything with us because of her appointments, but at the same time it was too funny! After the sauna and the salads and wine we got dressed and checked into our rooms. After getting everything settled in our rooms we then got ready for dinner.

We ate dinner at The Power Plant Restaurant in the Hotel. With 16 of us eating dinner took a long time, but t was lots of fun talking with everyone. A lot of us ordered lemon drop martini's and everybody's tasted so good except for Mine and Hannah's. I don't know what the deal was but ours were awful. Every time we would try to take a drink we would just gag. We let everyone else at the table try it and they all agreed. Then we tried adding things to the martini to make it better. Hannah ended up finishing hers, but I just could not bring myself to do it. I had to just order a different drink instead. For Martha's present we all chipped in and gave her money to pay for everything for the weekend. Lori and Allie got her a cover up for her honeymoon and a turtle charm for her Pandora bracelet. Martha had given us strict instructions for no lingerie! After dinner we went out to the pool bar for more drinks and to talk and relax some more. It was such a nice evening to sit outside and talk with everyone! By midnight we were all getting tired and were ready for bed, so we headed back to our rooms to go to bed.

The next morning we got up and all had breakfast at The Grand Colonnade buffet. Then we all went to church. After church we got checked out of our rooms and changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool for the rest of the afternoon. When Mom, Grandma, Aunt Christie, and Aunt Angie entered the pool area they came in dancing and ready to party. This got everyone else up and dancing also. We then decided to plan the wedding party entrance for the reception. Martha and Tyler do not want to do the ordinary entrance at the reception, so we decided to brainstorm and come up with something different and I think we have some fun ideas for the big day. We all relaxed and laid out and then had lunch by the pool and then it was time to head back home! It was a perfect weekend away with family and friends and to celebrate Martha getting married!
