Picnic At The Park

Today is my last day of my maternity leave. It has been really nice being off for two full weeks. This past week has been really great getting to spend so much time with my mom and the boys and not having to worry about being anyplace in particular at any certain time. We decided to spend our last day together going to the 'pirate ship' park to play and have a picnic. Jax absolutely loved sitting at the little kids picnic table with his snacks. it was the perfect size for him! Christian had fun playing on all the playground stuff especially the big wooden pirate ship. After the boys were tired of playing there we decided to stop by Alisann's house for a little bit so the boys could play there. They set up a lemonade stand and sold some lemonade and that was so cute and lots of fun. Part of me is ready to get back into the swing of things with work and part of me is really not wanting to go back. I know once I go I will be gald I am back doing what I love and I don't have to work for very long (2 1/2 hours). I will miss just not having anything that I really have to do though. I don't know what I would do if I had to work full time. There is no way I could do that. I love the schedule that I have and it gives me the perfect balance of being able to work and do what I love and also get to be home with my kids almost full time. I think physically I should be fine tomorrow also. I have been feeling stronger and better everyday!

Girls Night

Last night I had a fun girls night out with my mom and sisters! We started our night by doing a little shopping at Flutter and then we all had dinner at Cafe Arazu. I got some cute summer dresses that I can't wait to wear. We all had so much fun laughing and talking together. The food was awesome also! I have to write this one funny thing that the waiter said and you totally had to be there, but I know at some point we may wonder what was so funny and need to look back at this blog post to remember it. I couldn't pronounce one of the appetizers correctly. It was called Tabuleh. I ordered it for an appetizer anyways. Then when he came to take our order it was also an option for a side and I was going to get it for that also. I couldn't remember how he pronounced it so when he got to me I told him what I wanted for my meal and then I said, 'How do say that one word?' he looked at me and said, 'Potato wedges?' and he looked totally confused. I tried not to laugh to hard but I couldn't help it and being with my mom and sisters did not help matters. I then told him it was the 't' word and he then got it. After dinner we took a walk by the river and to see a prayer garden downtown that was really pretty. We sat and talked there for awhile and then called it a night. We are all going to try really hard to get back in the habbit of having our girl night once a month again. We all get so busy and befor we know it it has been way too long!

A Little Date Night

Wednesday night Jason and I got to have our first little date night away from all three boys. We dropped them all off at my mom and dad's and went and had a nice dinner at Bonefish and then we got the boys stuff for their Easter baskets. It was a quick date, but it was so nice to just be out together and to get to talk to each other without interruptions. I also got to enjoy a nice martini with my meal and I have been looking forward to that for a while! I already am looking forward to our next date night and maybe we can go out for a little longer then!

Lots Of Family Fun For The Weekend

We had a busy and fun weekend this past weekend. Friday night Jason grilled shrimp, salmon, peppers and pineapple. Mom, Dad, and Mary all came over to have dinner with us and visit with the boys. The food was amazing and it was nice to hang out with everyone for a little while. Saturday Jason spent a lot of the day working in the yard and doing landscaping. He grilled two whole chickens for dinner. Alisann, Justin, James, Patrick, and Mom and Dad came over to eat. We also had a nice little visit from Jamie, Ben Kyle and Hannah. They brought presents for the boys which was so thoughtful and nice of them and they totally did not need to do that. It was nice to get to visit with them for a little bit, but they had to leave and go to a party so they couldn't stay long. Ailsann and Justin brought their bunny over for the boys to play with and they all loved that. The food was of course delicious once again. I just love this nice grilling weather! Sunday we got up and went to church. AFter church we went and looked at a house and then took the boys home for naps. Jason worked on the landscaping some more and I took a much needed nap with Lucas. Then we went over to Mom and Dad's for a quick dinner to celebrate Becky's birthday! Yesterday my mom came over first thing in the morning and helped me get things done around the house and helped me with the boys. This was Jason's first full day back to work. I spent most of the day cuddling with Lucas and I felt bad, but Mom kept telling me that that was what I was supposed to be doing. It was such a great weekend and I hate that it was my last one before going back to work!

A Day At The Park

earlier this afternoon we headed downtown to the park to let the boys run and play. It was a nice little outing for the five of us. Jax is a handful to keep an eye on right now and it is so hard for me to not be able to pick him up. Lucas slept the whole time and was an angel. Christian loved climbing on everything and running around. Jason and I loved just watching our boys play and have fun! it was a great little outing for us!

A Walk Down To Donut Bank

Our first morning home we decided to take a walk down to Donut Bank. The weather was perfect for it and it felt good to up and walking. The double stroller worked out perfect for the boys and will definitely make life easier for me when I am out with the three of them. I love our walks down to Donut Bank and I know I will miss them so much when we move!
