Treasure Island Day 9: Saying Goodbye

Saturday was the day we had to say goodbye to the beach and ocean. We got up and headed straight to the beach for about an hour with the boys. We wanted to have one last time on the beach and in the ocean as a family. After building sandcastles and waving goodbye to the ocean we headed back up to the room to pack the last of our stuff and to load up the car. We of course ended up stopping like four times again before we left Treasure Island. We finally got on the road around 11:00 p.m. The boys were so good in the car on the way home. they didn't hardly fuss or anything. We made it home around 12:30 a.m.! Jason and I were exhausted but it was nice to be home. Christian kept saying that he missed his bed, but that he misses vacation too. It was really cute!

Treasure Island Day 8: Last Full Day

Friday was our last full day at Treasure Island. We definitely took full advantage of it and made the most of it. Christian and I got up and headed straight to the beach to build sandcastles together. After he got tired of doing that we went to the big pool to swim and then to the splash pool to play. Martha came down and asked us if we wanted to go fishing at the pier with everyone and of course Christian jumped at the chance! Jason and Justin stayed back at the condos so Jax and Patrick could take naps. The rest of us went fishing! We all ended up catching a fish which was fun. I caught the first keeper. It was funny because I was fishing with this really old mickey mouse fishing pole. It was supposed to be Christian's, but him and James got distracted easily. Martha was laughing at me and wanted to take a picture of me sitting there with my pole. As soon as she snapped a picture I got a big bite. This was even funnier trying to reel in this fish on this little kids pole. We all were excited and laughing about it. Christian and James were really excited to see the fish, but Christian didn't want to touch or hold it. After a couple of hours we were all about done. Dad took the boys to get an ice cream which they loved! Another kind of funny thing was James telling Christian to throw some dirty old shirt over the railing into the ocean. Of course the boys got in trouble for it, but we couldn't help but find the humor in it also. It is so funny to watch the two of them together because they are always up to something. It is usually James with the brains and Christian is the one that does what James tells him to do. After we went fishing we headed to the splash pool to play for awhile. Then it was time for the boys to take naps and I relaxed in the ocean with Mom, Dad, Mary, and The babe. Then we got ready and went out for dinner at Rickey T's. The food was really good here, but I have to say by this point I was getting a little tired of seafood. I ate it every night while we were there and I have no desire to eat it for a long time now! After dinner we came back and took some pictures out on the beach, but it was kind of late again so the lightening wasn't the greatest. After we took some pictures James and Christian had fun feeding bread to the birds. We ended up with a ton of birds all around us and the boys loved it! After we finished that we headed to our room to start packing some things up and to go to bed since we had such a long drive the next day! It was a great last full day of our vacation!
