Decorating For Christmas

Today we decided to start decorating for Christmas. My sister Alisann used to always come over and help decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. We would drink wine and watch the movie White Christmas. That is one of our favorite movies to watch together. We can recite every line and sing every song. Now that Alisann is married and has a house of her own we don't get to do that anymore. We both are so busy this time of year with our jobs we are lucky to get any decorating done at all. Christian loved it when we turned the lights on.

Christian trying to take the ornament off the tree instead of putting it on the tree.

Here I am trying to patiently explain to Christian that you don't eat the ornaments but you hang them on the tree to look at.

He did not get it so now I am holding the ornament up high so he can't grab it.

He just simply does not understand that he is not allowed to take the ornaments off of the tree.

He was shortly distracted with some toys.

Look at this sneaky little devil trying to get into the ornaments after I told him over and over to stay back from them.

Here is the tree all decorated. Notice their is only ornaments on the top half of the tree this year. Christian just simply would not listen so I had no choice put to only decorate half of the tree. I don't think I will be going all out this year with Christmas decorating. It is not worth the fight with Christian.

Visiting With Grandma And Grandpa Pickerill

Yesterday we went over to Jason's parents house to visit for a little while. Jason had been wanting to shoot his muzzle loader to get it ready for next weekend and LeeAnn had surgery on her shoulder on Wednesday, so Christian and I kept her company for awhile. Everything went good on her surgery and she is recovering very well.Christian playing with a toy rifle.

Thanksgiving With The Shetler Side

We went over to my Grandpa Shetler's for Thanksgiving last night. Everybody pitched in to help make all the food. Jason fixed the turkey and he did a wonderful job. Normally when we go over there we do buffet style and just sit wherever you can find a seat. This year we did something a little different we all sat down and ate together which was really nice.Christian on the way over to Great Grandpa Shetler's.

After dinner we all sat around and talked and looked over the ads for Black Friday shopping.

Thanksgiving With The Folz Side

Yesterday we went over to my Aunt Angie's to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Mom's side of the family. It was so nice to get together with everyone. My cousin Katie was in from New York so it was great getting to talk to her. it's so hard to keep up with everybody because we are all so busy so I love getting together and seeing everybody at the holidays.Christian eating lunch with his Grandma.

Christian got really tired while we were over there. It was time for his nap. He was so sweet cuddled up with me on the couch. I live for moments like this.

Christian so tired he can barely keep his eyes open.

Thanksgiving Eve

It always was a tradition of us sisters in the Shetler Family to go out the night before Thanksgiving. We haven't gone the last couple of years do to pregnancies and new babies being born, so we decided it was time to start the tradition back up. We were going to go bowling first and then head to The Fox And Hound, but we decided to stay at our house and drink and then go out. We all had a lot of fun. We definitely need to do this more often.'The Sisters' together again!
This year we had a new member of our family join us. Our brother John came out to carry on the tradition with us.

All the guys having fun. This was also a first for Travis. I think he's ready to help carry on the tradition.

Here we all are cheersing!

Lots Of Bubbles

Monday night Jason gave Christian a bath and put lots of bubbles in the tub. Then Jason put them on top of Christian's head. He looked so cute. I just had to put a few of these pictures up.

Playing At Grandma's

Last Sunday after church Jason went hunting and Christian and I went over to my parents house to hang out. My Dad fixed me a huge breakfast that was so good. It reminded me of the breakfasts that Aunt Susan and Uncle Duane fix when we've stayed the night with them. I love big home cooked breakfasts I just never am that motivated in the mornings to do that.Christian playing with his toy radio.
